This Is Why Pope Francis Might Not Be Able To Travel To Kenya

Is Africa the cursed land? With less than two weeks remaining for Pope Francis to visit Kenya, the holy man’s health seem to be in question. On Monday, the 78-year-old man of God stumbled in public for the second time in three days and had to be helped up the steps to an altar by two church officials during a service in the Basilica of St. John Lateran.

The pontiff is said to have lost part of one lung to disease while he was still young and is also known to suffer some leg pain due to sciatica (pain affecting the back, hip, and outer side of the leg, caused by compression of a spinal nerve root in the lower back, often owing to degeneration of an intervertebral disk at least according to Google), for which he undergoes regular therapy and which might explain his apparent trouble climbing steps.

Pope Francis is expected in Kenya from 25th – 27th this month where he will address more than a million pilgrims before continuing with his African Tour.
