Rich People Problems! Keroche Breweries Heiress Almost Sheds Tears When She Remembers The Days She Used To Eat Like A Pig
They say the rich also cry and I agree with that. Rich kid of Kenyan Instagram, Anerlisa Muigai, the daughter of Keroche Breweries CEO Tabitha Karanja, is a great example. Despite all the money, Anerlisa has been struggling with weight loss problems. Anerlisa, who owns her own water company, Executive, recently embarked on a weight loss journey that saw her lose 47kg.
The rich kid narrated how she had an eating disorder that grew over the years and ended up growing so fat. It got to a point where she couldn’t even attend both public and private ceremonies just because she was ashamed of her figure. This stressed Anerlisa but early this year, she decided to go back to the gym and acquire her dream figure. Through hard work and determination, Anerlisa has shed off a lot of weight and she looks extremely gorgeous. She can rock anything compared to before where she revealed that she only has three dresses that could fit her.

“Have you ever reached to that point in your life where everyone thinks you have everything but deep down you feel you have nothing? Well that’s how Ifelt last year when i was 124kgs. My world had crashed, I din’t look forward to the next day, I had only 3 clothes that fitted my size 24 body, i completely stopped loving myself, simple things like hair and nails were a mission to do. I hated everything around me, i also hated anyone who commented about my weight,just ate like a pig to be honest. What even hurt most was seeing screen munches of people discussing about my weight and making fun of it.My family worried about me especially my mother who used to look straight into my eyes with her teary eyes begging me to loose weight. I avoided family fuctions because i dint like any comments about what I ate.
Yes I had an eating disorder that grew over the years. I just “yo-yoed” with my weight. I guess even the reason for my stress was my battle with weight over the years. Everything seemed perfect but deep inside i saw nothing. So many things kept going through my head until one morning i woke up from my sleep, i remember my heart pumping so fast and felt like I was running out of breath, i started crying so hard but that’s when my life turned around and thought ONLY ME could change me. A 40-year-old man was yesterday charged with assault and calling his customer “uncircumcised”.
Joseph Mwaura, a welder allegedly beat up Bernard Owino and injured him after he went to pick his phone from him on September 12 at Shauri Moyo.

The prosecution said the complainant had taken his phone for charging at his shop in Shauri Moyo, where he also does welding. After picking the phone, Owino was unable to switch on the phone. He asked Mwaura if he had given him the correct phone, but he instead “insulted” him.
The court heard that a quarrel ensued with Owino saying he wanted his phone back. Police said Mwaura grabbed Owino and hit him with a metal rod in the neck.
Owino was taken to a clinic by the public.

Mwaura denied the charges before principal magistrate Eveline Olwande.
He was released on a Sh20,000 bail. The case will be mentioned on October 10.

Well, a similar case has been reported in Busia County after a woman stabbed another to death following a love triangle dispute. The Monday incident happened in Mundika market, Matayos Constituency, Busia County and the suspect was arrested and is being detained at a local police station while the police are investigating the matter. Sources indicate that the suspect had accused the deceased of eloping with her husband.

Multimedia University Demonstration (PHOTOS, VIDEO)
As we speak, students from Multimedia University of Kenya (MMU) have paralyzed transport along Magadi Road and are engaging police in running battles.
The protests were ignited by deaths of two of their colleagues who were killed right outside the institution’s gate.
Cynthia Akoth – a first year student at the university – passed away on Sunday after being ran over by a matatu while another by the name Karen Chepkemoi sustained injuries.
Preliminary investigations into the Sunday incident showed the driver was drunk and was driving on high speed before the bus overturned.
The students have been protesting for more than three hours and unconfirmed reports indicate that that two students have been shot, one in the stomach and the other in the leg.

These Are The 5 Most DISGUSTING Habits Of Nairobi Girls
I have been away tending to mine but as soon as I came back, I found that my colleague Nyota had run a rather interesting piece on her pet peeves of Nairobi lads. I went through the list and though I agreed with one of the things she’d highlighted, I couldnae co-sign most of the stuff she put up.
And it got me thinking; do Nairobi lasses also realize they have things they do that are simply disgusting? Or as my more amiable friend Xola would say, “off-putting”. And to be honest, it’s 2016. the year of the ratchets is long over and one can’t help but wonder why lasses still think it’s cool to be sophisti-ratchet.
Yeah, so 2013 called and it wants it’s bullshit back.
So I decided to ask my lads for what it is they loathe about Nairobi girl’s behavioiur. And it was a rather emotive conversation. And this is what I was informed that my nephews hate about Nairobi lasses:
#1. smelly weaves
This is one habit I detest to my core. I do not understand why in this age of enlightenment Nairobi lasses still swear by their stinking weaves. NO! Weaves have to go. They are the reason why Donald Trump is an actual presidential candidate! They are the reason matatus hike their fares whenever it rains.
How does a self respecting lass walk around with a weave n her head that goes untouched for 3 months?!
MUNANUKA!
And for the lasses who smoke, those things are not just a fire hazard but a health hazard aswell because when we come into contact with you we inhale 2nd hand smoke.
#2. omba-omba
Nothing is as sexy as a lass that’s got her own. But when you’re in Nairobi, these lasses have flipped the script. They believe they are sexy only if they can “toanisha”.
And the thing is, the lasses who abide by this rule are often have low self esteem and would aptly fit the billing of “peasants”. Do not blame me for my choice of words, I was watching Les Miserables this weekend.
Anyway, I do not understand why lasses think getting guys to buy them stuff is proof of how attractive they obviously are BUT ALAS! It’s just off-putting.
#3. lasses acquiring taste on your tab
Every lad I spoke to opened up about lasses who are accustomed to using matatus insisting on taking an Uber cab on your tab… Or lasses going out to the club and ordering top shelf drinks while they are perfectly fine buying themselves Kenya King shots. And this scenario always ends badly -with the lasses mwauraing all over the place.

During the 2014 World Cup, I was an intern at a leading magazine in Karen. Knowing that the area is perpetually cold, I used to have my hair on as long as I could. This made guys think that I was older than I was; it earned me respect especially at public places.

Earlier today, four people perished while six others were injured after a matatu plying the Rongai-City Centre route overturned on Lang’ata Road in Nairobi.
County police commander said that the matatu driver was speeding and lost control of the vehicle. He said that the number of people in the vehicle at the time of the accident was yet to be established.

“It is not clear how many people were in the matatu. Four people sustained serious injuries while two others suffered slight injuries,” Koome said.

MJICHUNGE SANA! Tanzanian Lecturer Charged With Insulting President Magufuli On WhatsApp
Bwana Magufuli hataki mchezo! A Tanzanian lecturer has been charged with insulting President John Magufuli in a WhatsApp message, a senior police official said today. This brings the number of people charged under a tough new cybercrimes law to 10.
Magufuli, nicknamed “the bulldozer” for pushing through his policies, has won some praise from Western donors for anti-corruption drives and cutting wasteful government spending since coming to power in November.
But opponents accuse him of becoming increasingly authoritarian, undermining democracy by curbing political activity and restricting live television coverage of parliamentary sessions.
Insulting the president was made a criminal offence in Tanzania under a cybercrimes law passed last year, punishable by up to three years in jail, plus a fine of around $3,000, or both.
“The senior university lecturer was arraigned in court yesterday, and I think he was later released on bail,” Julius Mjengi, police chief of the south-west Tanzanian town of Iringa told Reuters by telephone.
Police said the lecturer was charged with offenses under Tanzania’s strict cybercrimes law. The lecturer denied the charges.
“The number of people who have been arrested across the country thus far for insulting the president has now risen to 10,” Tanzanian newspaper Mwananchi said in an article on Friday.
Those who have faced trial for insulting Magufuli in recent months include students and opposition politicians. A U.S. aid agency in March canceled nearly $500 million of funding for Tanzania partly on concerns over enforcement of the new cybercrimes law.
The U.S. government’s Millennium Challenge Corporation said Tanzania has “engaged in a pattern of actions inconsistent with MCC’s eligibility criteria” hence the decision to suspend its partnership with the East African nation.

Hii Kenya Si Ya Mamako, Bwana! Esther Arunga’s Sister Savagely Attacks Ezekiel Mutua In An Open Letter
All is not lost. We still hope that our prodigal daughter Esther Arunga will come back one day and continue where she left off. She used to brighten our faces whenever she graced the screen. But in 2010, things began to deteriorate when Esther Arunga quickly called off her engagement to Wilson Malaba and eloped with Quincy Timberlake, a man she met at the famous Finger of God church through the founder – Joseph Hellon.
The former TV siren then went missing for close to two years and later in June 2014, the ‘power couple’ made headlines once again after news broke that Quincy had murdered his firstborn son, Sinclair Timberlake, in their Australia home and he was jailed at a local prison.
That aside, Esther Arunga’s sister Abigail has penned an open letter to the CEO of Kenya Film Classification Board, savagely attacking him after he said that atheists have no place in the country. Mutua is known for his harsh remarks on whatever evolves around the media industry. Below is the letter:
“Dear Ezekiel Mutua,
According to you, atheists have no place in this country.
That notion is absurd. Someone must have told you that you are a) a legal authority on religion in Kenya, and b) that you are God. That is the only reason why such a remark would pass from your lips. It must be the only explanation.
You continue to ignorantly cite a preamble in our Constitution as grounds for your absurd claims, saying that the Constitution recognizes the supremacy and sovereignty of a higher power, while ignoring what the constitution actually says about religion.
An introduction does not a law make.
Your ranting and raving against the event that was supposed to happen on September 24, entitled ‘Raising Children Without God’, is therefore completely unwarranted and unprecedented.
People raise their children how they want to raise their children – whether Christian or Muslim or Mormon or atheist, believing in trees, believing in spaghetti monsters, whatever they want.
Their children. Not yours, Mr Mutua. You, of course, are completely within your rights to pass on what you believe to your children, and you should allow others to do the same.
And what, pray tell, has the Chairman of the Kenya Film Classification Board have to do with parenting, aside from the laws that define your organisation’s role ? You are well outside your mandate.
It is more absurd to me, daily, that you are encouraged to overstep your job description in such a frivolous and unbecoming manner, from billboards to thinking you have the power to regulate the internet, much like our neighbourhood dictators who block Twitter during elections.
And now on to why you must think you are God. The actual God who you seemingly believe in but pay no attention to, created humans and gave human beings free will.
Free will, Mr Mutua, in case you are not aware, includes the freedom to choose what you believe in – whether it is God, or not.
Revolutionary, isn’t it? And you are trying so very hard to take that away.
What’s more, freedom of belief (and association!) is allowed for in the Constitution, which is why we have so many diverse practices that thrive in our country – to meet who we want, associate with who we want, form organisations, take the power of active citizenry into our own hands.
You are not a god, and you have no right to monitor and police what people believe in. Quite frankly, your moral policing escapades are laughable at best.
Listen, Mr Mutua, if I want to give my children to the so-called devil, then so be it. It is my business.
But the greater devil that you have to deal with is a glaring lack of understanding about what your job is. Go and pull out the log in your eye before trying to get at the speck in mine.”

Is it any wonder women figure – usually quite rightly – that a man who is less critical of his own appearance and less looks-obsessed will be less critical of ours?
Mr Non-Perfect is a relief to any woman who steps on the scales, every day of her life, and finds her mood is affected, every day of her life, by what they say.
Especially when it comes to sex.
I’d love to meet a female whose sex life isn’t affected by a ‘fat day’.
I’ve yet to meet one man who has let feeling fat stop them having sex.
Michael Alvear, the author of ‘Not tonight dear, I feel fat’, says fifty percent of women admit they’ve put off sex – even when they’re in the mood – because they felt too fat.
‘Women put conditions on sex because of weight. You won’t do it without cover-up clothing. You only have sex with the lights out. You’ll only do positions that prevent your partner from looking at or touching certain parts of your body,’ he says.
‘Pretty soon your desire for any sex, conditional or not, goes away.’
We don’t just think our partners won’t desire us unless we are thin.
We don’t feel desirable unless we are thin.
There are many (many) things men can learn from women, but this is one area where women can learn from men.
When men look in the mirror, they look at the parts of themselves that they like.
I showed four male friends the publicity stills of the ab-tastic Zac Efron and they all shrugged and said, ‘He looks good. But he’s paid to look like that. That’s his job.’
They made no comparison to themselves. There was no subconscious sucking in of their beer belly. No wistful glance at their not-so-bulging biceps.
When women look in the mirror, they hone in on the bits they don’t like.
Show us a picture of Cameron Diaz in a bikini and we think ‘Why don’t I look like that? I better not eat anything else for the rest of the day and hit the gym after work’.
It’s a continuing double standard that’s not working for anyone – men or women.
We should all be more Seth-like: learn to love our bellies and accept that wobbly bits are all part of being mere mortals.

‘You Brought Me So Much Joy,’ Juliana Kanyomozi Wishes Her Late Son A Happy Birthday
It is never an easy thing to lose a child. Juliana Kanyomozi lost the only child she had, a son, after suffering a severe asthma attack while at school. He was admitted at Aga Khan Hospital Nairobi. Unfortunately he passed on.
Keron was only 11 years old. Today is his 14th birthday. His mother wished him a happy birthday on her social media platforms. The overwhelming support and kind words on the post shocked Juliana.
The songbird responded with another post saying,
