EXCLUSIVE! This Kenyan Artist Is Very Good At LUNGULA, According To Femi One (VIDEO)
Kenyan female rapper Wanjiku Kimani, popularly known as Femi One has been a hot topic of discussion since she released the diss track dubbed “Pilau Njeri” about a fortnight ago.
We recently invited the Kaka Empire signee to have a discussion about the song that takes a swipe at Sosuun, Noti Flow, Njeri among other female rappers.
During our interview, we asked her questions some of which had nothing to do with the song which has been topping local charts.

“We have since established the boys and girls had been in constant communication by use of mobile phones and this is how they planned the night meeting,” said Nyando acting OCPD Gathoni Mungaro.
According to the OCPD, all mobile phones were confiscated from the students from both schools and investigations launched. She said that the police would interrogate the students involved, and that both schools would be heavily monitored during the KCSE examination period.

Drugs Sex Death: These Are the Designer Drugs Kenyan Youth Are Using
A couple of weeks back, I came across a story that peaked my interest: one of the chaps behind Project X was arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking. The guy, James Njenga is related to Njenga Karume and was found to be in possession of cocaine, high grade marijuana and LSD.
This completely blew my mind because two of the drugs mentioned aren’t what you would normally find about town unless you were actively immersed in circles that are known to the dealers… And make no mistake about it, there is a sub-culture that actively seek out and consume such drugs BUT from what I know, these drugs are traditionally dealt with by foreigners (read Nigerians) who for some reason like to deal out of slums.
So I made up my mind to try and find out what goes on when it comes to the consumption of these high end drugs. This is what I found out from talking to people and police officers who asked not to be mentioned:
The fact that the James Njenga was often mentioned with regard to Project X was no mistake. It’s actually a rather efficient sales tactic to gather all your consumers (and new prospects) together so you can deal without raising too many eyebrows. So if indeed he is pushing drugs, that would have been a smart move.
One simply has to organize a party for wealthy people (money only runs with money) and offer a “buffet” of drugs if you will. And such parties are apparently in plenty.
The basic rundown of it is that often the peddler will rent one of these furnished apartments for 24hrs (I had no idea this was possible), invite his clientèle and organize lasses (or ask the guests to come with women for their own entertainment) and avail the drugs -more often than not, the way they get back their money is by either charging the clientele an attendance fee or simply finding a party being thrown by a client and availing the drugs for sale.
And Kenyans have acquired an appetite for designer drugs. I managed to speak to someone who has thrown a party and availed the drugs for his friends and he mentioned that the drugs most commonly used are cocaine, MDMA/ecstasy and codeine. For those of you not in the know, codeine is what American rappers are always singing about and referring to as “dirty sprite”. It is a cocktail made of cough syrup and alcohol. This however is a favourite of college kids who need a cheap and quick way of getting high.
And just incase you have heard of women getting taken advantage of at parties, sometimes it’s down to them having imbibed drinks that had drugs in them and they had no idea and couldn’t handle the high.
This was just an introduction. Next time we will go into details of how the parties get organised, how new clients are sourced and what happens at these parties.

Losing a parent is one of the worst things that can happen to anyone. Life changes completely after losing a parent or both. A young Nigeria medicine graduate is among the millions of orphans in the world who have had a tough experience in life after losing her mother.
The young woman got admitted to study Medicine and Surgery in 2008 at one of the local universities and during her eight years in school, she encountered several challenges including the loss of her loved one. She recently graduated in the medicine field and she is happy to have made it this far. One year ago my India doctor walked into my hospital room at Indraprastha Apollo hospital New Delhi. He announced that my PET scan results confirmed that I had stage 4 lung cancer. The primary site was the suspicious lung lesion/mass that had baffled us for long, and the cancer had now spread to my liver, abdomen, bones and lymph nodes. He left the room and my husband followed him. Outside he told him that I had six months to live, maximum a year, and that he would do his part and treat me BUT I had to do my part and have the will to live. I was confused – crying, asking hubby ‘What do you mean stage 4? From where? Since when?’ After which I walked to the mirror and said ‘I don’t look like a stage 4. You mean I have what Tata had?” 8 and a half years ago my father got the same diagnosis, and a year later he died. He hung on long enough to escort me down the aisle in a wheelchair, breathing out of an oxygen tank, and then 2 weeks after my wedding, he passed on. So the picture I had of stage 4 was from months of seeing him lose weight, lose appetite, be so sick, with frustrated children who didn’t know what else to do for him… I was very confused. Were my 5 and 2 year old babies going to watch me as I watched him? Maybe it would be better if I just ‘left’…to spare them the heartbreak and expense? I didn’t want to take food from my babies’ mouths because of medical bills. I asked hubby to leave me alone that night so I could be alone with my thoughts, but all I could do was cry. A nurse who was wonderfully kind told me that God was with me. I was frustrated, because I thought that I had already faced the worst medical news months before in June when I was admitted into HDU/ICU for 11 days with multiple blood clots in the heart and lungs that ordinarily kill people instantly. And then here I am in India not only being told about cancer stage 4 but that there is also a blood clot sitting in my heart, almost 2cm big, and that hopefully it won’t move from the heart muscle leading to a heart attack and again the word – death. I wondered how many times a human being should be told they’re facing death in the span of 6 months. Death from things inside the body that I couldn’t even see! It’s easier to deal with something that you can touch and see. Well, the blood clot remained in the heart muscle throughout chemotherapy, slowly reducing in size. A constant reminder that truly my life is in God’s Hands -He kept the clot from moving to where it would hurt me.

This may sound strange but one advantage to being diagnosed with a terminal illness is that you get a chance to get right with God, or Allah for my Muslim brothers and sisters. You have time to recall your life, to repent for wrongs done, to seek forgiveness from others and forgive them too. To find that peace that surpasses all human understanding because now you know that you’re ready to go home. That wonderful, magnificent, final home where there is no more pain, or chemo side effects, or doubt, or fear. County assembly majority leader Henry Nyongesa said it is alarming that candidates have resorted to using charms to help them pass.
“I want to caution candidates who are putting on charms in body parts like their mouths or smearing leaves on their faces that such things do not work,” he said on Tuesday.
He said only hard work and determination will enable students to pass exams.

Nyongesa also warned candidates and parents against cheating.
“Avoid anyone lying to you that they are selling exam leakage. Those are con men and will land you in problems … report them to police if they approach you.”
He said the police have laid down adequate measures to ensure incidents of cheating are curbed.
The majority leader asked parents to ensure their children, especially day scholars, have sufficient time to prepare for exams.
The KCPE exams kicked off countrywide on Tuesday, with more than 40,000 candidates sitting this year.
County director of education Charles Anyika said exams started on a good note.
“We have not seen any incident and we are appealing to students, teachers and parents to cooperate and ensure there is no exam cheating,” he said.

Demons Attack ME In School,’ Cries Bungoma KCPE Candidate Begging To Sit Exams At Home
You know those stories you hear about ‘majini’ and dismiss them as urban legends? Well, there is a real documented story about demons harrasing a poor and terrified KCPE candidate.
The KCPE candidate from Bungoma has asked to sit his exams from home, saying he is attacked by demons while in class. Samuel Kamau, 13, told journalists on Tuesday that when he revises for exams, he is unable to understand himself and experiences severe headaches and ‘heat’.
“I have been severally attacked by strange people who are not seen by others but me. It has affected my learning,” the teary-eyed boy narrated.
Kamau has appealed to the area Education director Charles Anyika to find a way to enable him do exams since he is afraid that the occurrences will affect his performance.
The Moi Primary School pupil said he has tried to pray but he has never been relieved.
The Star reports that Kamau’s father, Henry Mbaree, said his son’s behaviour scares him and efforts to assist him have never been fruitful.
“When my son is at home, he is very well; but when he enters the school compound, he is engulfed by strange powers that attack him [and] by demons that make him faint and collapse,” he said.
Mbaree appealed to the school management and well wishers to find spiritual leaders who can intercede and pray for their son.
School principal Calvin Wanyama said Kamau has been having problems and often has fainting spells.
But Wanyama said he suspects Kamau’s reaction are simply ‘exam fever’.
He also denied allegations from section of residents that the school has been attacked by evil spirits and assured parents that students are well prepared for the exams.

Meru University Closes After An ‘Unnecessary’ Death Of A Student
Meru University was on Monday evening closed indefinitely by the institution’s senate council after students went on the rampage following the death of a student.

The students accused the university’s administration of negligence saying it failed to get their ailing colleague treatment in good time.
Several students were arrested in the ensuing melee as anti riot police moved in to quell the ordeal using tear-gas canisters.
Many of the first year students who reside within the campus were forced to seek refuge in the neighbouring forest to avoid being arrested.
Traffic was paralysed for several hours along the Meru-Maua highway as the students barricaded the road.
“It is very sad that we have lost a student who had a very promising life ahead of him. But it happened a bit too fast, so we met as senate and deliberated and realized that it would very insecure for us to go through the night,” said deputy vice chancellor Gitonga Mburugu.
“The health centre should be open all days of the week but it was closed,” said a student.
“When our friend developed chest complications and breathing became difficult we rushed him to a clinic at the market and after being attended to he became progressively worse,” added another student.
Dr Narman Mugambi, who received the student at the clinic, said he vomited then fell unconscious.
“He was brought by his colleagues and when I was listening to them he started to vomit blood then fell unconscious. I told them to go fetch the ambulance then they took him away to another hospital,” said Mugambi
According to Tigania West OCPD Joshua Opiyo, the students caused minimal damage to few kiosks outside the university and university facilities as well.
Opiyo said the student’s body was moved to Meru Level 5 hospital.

A total of 14 students were arrested on Sunday night in Homa Bay town for underage drinking.
The students who are below 18 years of age were arrested in the club while dressed in civilian clothes when attended the club.

The pupils who hailed from different schools in Homa Bay County are between class seven to form three.
Eyewitnesses said the pupils disguise themselves in their attire to prevent people from knowing their identity.
“They started entering the club from 5pm and when it reached 8pm they begun taking bottles of alcoholic drinks,” the witness said.
A teacher, Ben Otieno said some of the pupils were misbehaving under influence of alcohol.
“Most of them made noise outside the club before they attracted attention of the public. Some of them were seen removing their clothes in the process of dancing in the club,” he said.
The teacher said a resident tipped the police who apprehended the pupils after they realized their behavour was becoming out of hand.
Area OCPD Esau Ochorokodi confirmed arresting the pupils and said they are holding them in Homa Bay police station.
The police boss added they will charge them in court once investigations over their conduct is complete.
“We arrested them they were in the club illegally. They could not produce their Identity cards hence they are considered as minors,” Ochorokodi said.
Ochorokodi said they had arrested the club manager too for allowing minor in the club.
“Serious action will be taken against the club manager because permitting underage persons in a club is outlawed,” he added.
Some parents thronged the police station to demand whereabouts of their children.
“My daughter who is in form three left home on Thursday evening but I have been informed she was arrested. I wonder why children of these days misbehave,” one of the parent told journalists.

Love can be the panacea to the world’s problems. I always hear there is enough to feed the world’s need and not the world’s greed. The problem is we look at each other through different lenses. Hate,Tribe, Religion, Status, Gender, Color etc etc.
