Nowhere is safe! Whether you are abroad or back home in Africa always be careful because not everyone out there is good. Some are thieves trying to make ends meet by robbing people of their belongings. Legendary Tanzanian crooner Lucas Mkenda, popularly known as Mr. Nice was recently ‘taught’ a lesson na mwenye mji. The Kidali Po hit maker was robbed at gunpoint in Nairobi’s Eastlands area over the weekend while was on his way to Jericho estate. It’s said that a gang of young men ambushed Mr. Nice and hijacked him.
“They commanded me to follow their orders before robbing me of everything I had including cash, laptops and jewellery as well as recording material,”
,the Fagilia singer told SDE. The total loss of the stolen goods amounted close to to Sh1.5 million. Mr. Nice who is currently in Kenya promoting his comeback album, Kioo was admitted last year September at a local Tanzanian hospital after he was allegedly poisoned after a night of drinking and it seems he has decided to ‘change’.
Mr. Nice who was once the superstar and the most sought after artiste in the East African region seems to be slowly sinking into oblivion as he is nowhere to be found nowadays as there are new kids on the block. Diamond Platnumz, Harmonize, Raymond and the likes of Yamoto Band have taken the limelight away from him. Could he it be that he has run out of ideas and has decided to give the youngsters a chance to shine?
