Kenyan Boy Band Sauti Sol keeps doing it bigger. Last year, they won at the MTV EMAs as the Best International Act: Africa. This year, they managed to perform for President Obama at State House when he came to Kenya for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit.
They also shared the same stage with Beyonce, Coldplay and met rapper Jay Z in New York recently during the Global Citizen Festival. Sauti Sol was also nominated for the BET Awards this year. As if that’s not enough, they are now officially at No. 1 on BBC 1 Xtra’s #DNATop5 playlist.
