The book is “Absolute Monarchs: A History of the Papacy” (Random House, 2012) by John Julius Norwich. It documents history of the Catholic Church in-depth. It gives you facts and background information about the history of the Papacy. It’s a read like no other.

John Julius is a British Historian, a renowned TV personality and travel writer. In this book, he unveils some of the least known information about Papacy. For example, did you know that Pope Urban VIII (1623-1644) was Galileo’s friend?
