Babu Owino is one of the most controversial public figures in Kenya. He leads a flamboyant life and doesn’t give a f*ck about what anyone thinks about him, which is commendable to a certain degree. Almost everything he does is outrageous. By the way, girls love him for his badassery.
These are the 4 most memorable, controversial things he did this year.
1. Spending millions on his birthday
The guy is said to have spent 14.4 million shillings on his birthday back in October. The items on the list included “tools for enjoyment”, “2 Chrysler limousines for VIP guests”, and Vodka. Those were going for Sh300,000, Sh290,000 and Sh713,050 respectively. He spent part of his born day at the Thomas Bernados Children’s Home along Lang’ata Road, where he is said to have bought items worth Sh314, 090 for the children.
2. Threatening to expose priests who are having sex with university students
This one was so random. There was a screenshot of an alleged conversation between Babu and an unknown pastor asking if he was on the list. The conversation went viral on social media. However, he never made the list public.
