Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni is not impressed by the fact that his supporters were beaten up. Former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi’s supporters roughed up his supporters in Ntungamo and attacked them an action that did not go down well with Museveni. This happened after rumors emerged that the former PM intended to challenge Museveni.
“Thugs attacked NRM supporters. They are being rounded up, you cannot attack Ugandans,” he angrily said.
Amama declared his intentions to run against Museveni in the forthcoming presidential race last October, having been cut off as the Prime Minister back in September 2014.
“If you put your finger in the anus of a leopard, you’re in trouble. How can you attack NRM supporters in Uganda? They’ll regret,” he declared.
