Man who killed officer in Garden estate love triangle surrenders to police

A 35 year-old property developer Leonard Kanari who is said to have shot dead a credit officer in a love triangle has surrendered to the police.

Kanari has presented himself to Kasarani police station where he is currently recording his statement. He has also surrendered his gun to the police after three days in hiding.

He is alleged to have shot and killed Christopher Adangi who is claimed was in Kanari’s Garden estate house last Friday.

Nairobi CID boss Ireri Kamwende said police are questioning Kanari. Adangi was an employee at a Credit Reference Bureau in Nairobi.

Nairobi police chief Japheth Koome last Friday told the Star Kanari was a licensed gun holder.

Koome said Kanari allegedly shot the man after he found him with his girlfriend in his house.

Adangi was confirmed dead at a Nairobi clinic where he was rushed to for bullet wounds in his stomach.

The woman at the centre of the dispute and who reported the incident at the Kasarani police station has been identified as Ednah Kariuki.
