What is it about Kenyan universities that make them such a hotbed for hotheads? If students aren’t taking to the streets to strike and protest something, they are razing entire blocks to the ground.
Maseno University would be a case in point as the finance, registry and dean of students’ offices were burnt down. As can be expected, tension is palpable as some sources claim this was a result of some students being barred from vying in upcoming campus elections.
Police have already contained the situation and investigations are underway but trust that we have photos of the scene as of last night that no one else is willing to share.
