“I Am Not A Coward” William Kabogo Unapologetic Over His Controversial Remarks

Kiambu County Governor William Kabogo has once again repeated what happens to be controversial utterances that put him under fire on allegations of hate speech. Kabogo was summoned and questioned by Directorate of Criminal Investigations over the remarks. He however remains defiant and has even further and issued a warning to anyone who dares disrespects the Presidency.

“We must have respect for the Presidency. I am not talking for Uhuru Kenyatta, I am speaking about the Presidency of the Republic of Kenya. And I am not a coward. If you speak the truth should you be afraid?,” he said.

Director Of Public Prosecutions Keraiko Tobiko had earlier ordered the IG and NCIC to immediately investigate the matter and forward the file to his office for action. The alleged offensive utterances centered around the anatomy of men from certain parts of Kenya and appeared to target former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

“I will continue telling Raila and the rest to stop their nonsense. I am not afraid of going to police cells. I will go and come back and be Governor,” he had earlier commented in a recorded footage that went viral.

“People must respect us for them to get respect from us. We must live in peace. But they will not tell us that Kikuyus cannot speak. I have no apology for being a Kikuyu. I am not a war-monger and I don’t speak hate,” he added. Read the full details on The Star Newspaper.
