When Police Corporal Linda Okello (now a Constable) was thrust in the limelight thanks to her short and tight skirt, she became an instant celebrity. She made headlines, drove men to drool on their shirts, and at the same time, ruffled feathers within the police department over the plight of female police officers.
In January this year, she was allegedly demoted after she was found in possession of a Sh1,000 note (While on a routine patrol in Kirigiti area of Kiambu) which she couldn’t explain its source. This was during a sting operation on officers supposedly receiving bribes in that area of Kenya, The Star reported.
That was then. Now, more and more female cops are literally thrusting themselves in the same, or different, limelight, using their beauty to ‘expose’ themselves. Maybe it could be an inside strategy to redeem the lost glory of the service, which has been accused of abetting corruption and impunity.
After Linda Okello, we now have a new smoking, hot and sexy cop in town who is leaving tongues wagging, and more men drooling than the gracious Linda did.
