He is known to have broken many reality show contestant hearts by dismissing them as “not good enough”, “…your diction is poor, pathetic, you don’t deserve to be on that stage”, “…your dressing is a joke, you are a joke” among many other hurtful truths. This was during his reign as the Chief Judge for the reality TV singing competition Tusker Project Fame.
He was the man everyone loved to hate, and vice versa. His word was final. He crossed paths with the shows Academy, Faculty, contestants and even his fellow judges. But for this thespian – who is always commanding and authoritative – that is life for him. That’s what he lives for. In return, his criticism and hard-hitting opinions on varied topics, especially in arts (music and fashion), are never taken lightly.

This man, Ian Mbugua, however, (presumably just like everyone else) also has his soft spot. His hair may be littered with grey streaks here and there, but his soft personality is next to none.
