They say days of a thief are numbered, and I agree. A wanted lone gunman popularly known as Kevo, who has been terrorising motorists along Uhuru Highway, Nairobi, was shot dead last night after a chase by police.
Police said Kevo was traced to Uhuru Park after he had snatched a mobile phone from a motorist along Uhuru Highway near Parliament Buildings. He was also wanted over similar incidents but he did not have a gun at the time of his killing. The mobile phone was recovered from him and handed over to the owner, while the body was moved to the mortuary.
Cases of attacks on motorists on the highway have been on the rise with little arrests. Police have intensified patrols in the area where even rape incidents take place.
