Anne Ngugi was the darling of the 7pm news segment where her mastery of the Swahili language endeared her to her audience. Beside being a TV news reader, Anne is a mother. She was recently in the limelight when she did an interview with Citizen TV’s Lulu Hassan and Kanze Dena.
That is when the world got to meet her teenage daughter, Angel who was born with a birth defect called congenital hydrocephalus (the build-up of excess cerebrospinal fluid in the brain at birth). Despite her condition, Angel has never let that deter her from following her dreams. She performed and wowed a lot of people.
