The word socialite became popular in Kenya 3 years ago to be precise. Kenyans went crazy after the so called socialites started posting salacious photos of themselves on the various social media platforms. Many of us could spend a lot of time on social media just to see what they do. However, not all were able to win the hearts of Kenyans; those who made it are now referred to as the big five (Vera Sidika, Corazon Kwamboka, Huddah Monroe, Vanessa Chettle and Risper Faith).
As the days pass by, most of the socialites have gone underground and with the help of my colleagues, we managed to find out why they have been keeping a low profile. Below are the reasons as to why;
1. They finally got SPONSORS
Most of the socialites seem to have found sponsors and settled down. Off late they don’t upload hundreds of photos as they used to some time back. They no longer host night parties nor club hop and according to my colleagues, the sponsors have finally tamed them and there’s no room for them to hover around. Kenyan socialites have decided to go by their sponsors’ rules and regulations so as to keep them lest they pull out.
Most Kenyans have some uncouth social media habits. Unfortunately, some of us do these things without knowing how annoying they can be to other people. We asked our fans to tell us some of the things many Kenyans do on social media that are extremely bothersome.
If you’re one of those people who do some of the things mentioned below, you need to stop like today.
1. Sending Friend Request To Random People – Like seriously, if we’ve never even met and I don’t know you at all, why the hell would you want us to be friends on social media? You never know who you might be accepting as a friend.
2. Tagging Me On A Picture I’m Not In – This is one of those things that piss me off terribly. Even if you’re trying to market you product or whatever it is, please don’t just go tagging everyone on Instagram and Facebook.
3. Inviting Anyone To Play Games – Someone was recently stabbed by his friend for sending too many candy crush requests. Play your game alone or you may just end up in a hospital.
4. Adding People To A group By Force – “You have been added to Ghetto is Home Group” I guess I’m not the only one who gets such notifications. Even if you’re my friend and you want to add me to a group, just let me know about it first.
5. Sending Messages To Strangers – Girls actually get this a lot. “Xaxa Xwity”, Hey What’s up” and all those irritating messages from thirsty lads of Facebook.
6. Using Someone’s Photo As Your Profile Picture – In most cases, the people who do this are usually professional stalkers or just people who have a serious low self-esteem problem.
It is Vera Sidika’s birthday and here at Mpasho we are celebrating her birthday in style. We’re taking a walk down memory lane and reminiscing on the crazy things Vera Sidika did in her past year. Now, as expected she did way too many crazy things but we narrowed it down to the following. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Vera Sidika, tongue in cheek:
1. She decided she wanted to try being lighter. Remember the huge fuss that was made when we went to sleep and woke up to find that the Vera Sidika we knew was long gone.
2. As if that was not enough, she decided she wanted bigger boobs. Truly, the Vera that celebrated her birthday last year is not the one celebrating this year. This one is perkier and a whole new cup size.
3. A new body needs a new bed to lie on. She bought a 1,000,000 sh bed. Yes, because her new body needed a bed that matched it’s standards.
4. Tried to pimp out Huddah Monroe. Whatever you say about Vera Sidika, she proved once and for all that she was/is a very generous person when she tried to share her friend with Huddah.
5. She called Huddah Monroe A Drug Dealer. The battle of the socialites was starting to look like World War Three this year especially when Vera Sidika insinuated that Huddah Monroe was a drug dealer.

Honestly speaking, it’s becoming troublesome everyday for men to find natural ladies in Nairobi. Well, I do understand that sometimes you need to put on some makeup to slay it, but there are some Nairobi ladies who are doing it way too much.

Let’s start from top to bottom; Just like any other Nairobi woman, this “beautiful” lass had weave on, she had contact lenses(not sure if she has an eye problem though), of course extreme make-up that made her look white, waist cincher, huge fake boobs and bottom. I’m sure there’s a lot that we actually can’t see.
By now at least you have a picture of the kind of lady I’m talking about. Now my problem is, these are the kind of women who claim they have standards and by the way, they can’t date a kawaida man.
Now imagine you pick up this kind of a woman, then after popping those expensive bottles at the club, she agrees to go home with you. Of course, she can’t sleep with some of those things, so she goes to the bathroom to take them off. At this point, you’re probably on WhatsApp bragging to your boys how you’ve angukiad a 10 over 10.
She comes back from the bathroom and switches off the lights before you see her. Since you’re in a hurry to get down to business, you don’t really care until that point where you start feeling that the bottom is actually as flat as yours and the boobs are weirdly softer. That’s when you realise uliuziwa mbuzi ikiwa ndani ya gunia.
Even though most of these Nairobi lasses are living a fake life because of peer pressure, some of them have a serious problem of low self-esteem. Gentlemen, please love them even if their bums are as flat as a pancake.

They say “siku zamwizi ni arobaini”, and even though this 40-year-old man did not steal anything, he’s been dodging the cut for so many years now, but unfortunately Othaya residents finally caught up with him and he had to be circumcised.
Apparently this ninja who is a lorry driver has been evading circumcision since finishing primary school and he reportedly relocated to different towns to avoid being confronted by his agemates.
On Saturday, on his way to Nairobi from Nyeri county, he was stopped and frogmarched to a clinic for the procedure in Othaya town.
He tried fleeing, but his friends cornered him at about 10am, took him to the clinic and waited for at least 40 minutes for the procedure to be carried out.
Boda boda operators and other residents joined the man’s friends in the wait, but his family members reportedly sneaked him out through the back door.
Residents lauded the move saying the man had to be circumcised; they claimed several of his relationships ended after the women realised he was not circumcised.
Women are precious gifts from God. They are our pillars hence deserve all the respect in the world. But, there are some things they do in public that leave us pissed off. They are not just annoying but pretty disgusting! Well, below is a list of things that Kenyan women do that embarrass them in public, go through.
1. Wearing smelly weaves
Kenyan ladies love cheap things. They flock downtown Nairobi, especially River Road just to get the competitive designs and fit in the current trendy fashion industry, but some of them overstay with them. Why would you stay with a weave on your head for more than nine months? Kenyan women should style up and maintain hygiene, as soon, El Nino will be starting. We don’t want to be choked by your smelly weaves especially after being rained on.
Some ladies have guts to date touts I must say. Not that they are bad people, but I just can’t stand them. I use matatus on a daily basis, but the things touts/makangas do make me hate them. Talk of abuses; most of them seem to have graduated with PhDs and Masters in vulgar language and that’s why I can never be close to such beings.
Well, after all the experiences I have gone through in the hands of matatu touts, here is my advice to Kenyan ladies; never date a tout and here is why.

4. Your job – Why would you lie about the thing that you spend 70% of your time doing?! Your job is who you are at that moment. Even if you don’t want to stay on that path forever, you should never lie about your current occupation.
People will understand if you’re biding your time for your next job, or saving up to go back to school and do something different. They just want to know what you’re up to all day. It makes a big difference in the way they see you.
A video has surfaced online of a burning bus that was involved in an accident along the Kericho-Nakuru highway. Reports indicate that the driver of the Modern Western Coach was trying to overtake when he noticed an oncoming KPLC lorry, upon which he swerved to evade collision. This happened near Chepsir trading center yesterday around 2:30 PM.
He rammed into a trailer carrying steel, sparking a serious fire that spread quickly through the body of the bus.
Firefighters appear to not have reached the scene at the time the video was shot. The man who shot the video appears to have been in the bus as he is bleeding. 27 people sustained serious burn and fracture injuries.

While Vera Sidika is spending “millions” to have her boobs enlarged, Central Kenya women are thronging hospitals to have boob jobs done to reduce their size.
According to a Nyeri-based reconstructive and cosmetic surgeon Dr. Saidi Shaban, more women in the Central Kenya region are seeking to have their breasts sizes reduced because they are experiencing problems such as backaches, poor posture and maybe even low self-esteem.

A female matatu conductor yesterday met her death after she fell off a moving matatu along Jogoo Road.
According to an eyewitness, the Umoinner tout was allegedly dancing at the door of the moving matatu, and when the driver hit emergency brakes, the lady missed a step and fell down.
Just a few weeks ago we shared a video showing how matatu touts risk their lives by hanging onto the rails of speeding matatus and doing some dangerous stunts in a moving matatu. (Check out the video on the article below)

At this point I think the Kenyan government should just declare drugs abuse a national disaster. I honestly think that the government either has no idea or just don’t care about the rate at which young Kenyans are smoking Bhang and other drugs.
A few months ago, a certain research showed that young people start consuming alcohol as early as 12-16 years. Even though some of them are introduced to it by their relatives and even parents, peer pressure is one of the main reasons why there are many young people who are consuming alcohol. I understand that this is a problem that should be addressed across the board; regardless of gender or age, but my main focus today is on young Kenyan girls who are abusing drugs. It’s sad that Kiambu County alone spends over Sh14 billion on alcohol annually.I however honestly think that the government’s first priority should be to make sure that no more young people are getting into drugs, and those who are already hooked are helped.
From my small research, in Nairobi alone, an average of 3 out of 5 campus girls have smoked weed and at least one of them is a regular smoker. If you go out to most of these clubs that young people like, you’ll realize that almost all ladies smoke cigarettes. When did they start? How? And is there a possibility that they will stop? That’s where The National Authority for the Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) comes in.
I reached out to NACADA director Charles Njagua Kanyi, popularly known as Jaguar, who told me that his hands are tied and he has tried almost everything to make sure youth don’t get involved in drugs, but NACADA which he thinks should be disbanded is holding him back.
“Sometimes I even use my own money to fight alcoholism and drug abuse. The people in that board don’t understand young people and they have left me to fight solely. If you’re keen you must have noticed that we have a show that is being done by Mseto in Mombasa with the aim of helping drug addicts in the area.” – Jaguar

What do women need? To be honest no one knows, not even they themselves have a clue of what they want. And no it’s not love or money because there are many rich people who have been cheated on. Perhaps only God knows what satisfies a woman.
There’s a Nairobi woman who has opened up about how she has been cheating on her husband since they started dating and even after they got married. Like seriously why did she even marry him if she didn’t want to? Anyway, I don’t want to judge her. Read her story below.
“I love my DH very much, we met 6 years ago and we’ve been married for the last 2 years, the problem is that for those six years I’ve known him, I have always cheated on him, vuteni stool I tell you my story”

He was so gentle and kind to me(he still is to this day), he made me feel like I was the only woman on the planet, he helped me furnish my apartment, bought me a car and gave me a huge weekly allowance just to pamper myself , in return I took care of all his needs, sexual or otherwise. I was there for him 24/7.
