The word socialite became popular in Kenya 3 years ago to be precise. Kenyans went crazy after the so called socialites started posting salacious photos of themselves on the various social media platforms. Many of us could spend a lot of time on social media just to see what they do. However, not all were able to win the hearts of Kenyans; those who made it are now referred to as the big five (Vera Sidika, Corazon Kwamboka, Huddah Monroe, Vanessa Chettle and Risper Faith).

As the days pass by, most of the socialites have gone underground and with the help of my colleagues, we managed to find out why they have been keeping a low profile. Below are the reasons as to why;
1. They finally got SPONSORS
Most of the socialites seem to have found sponsors and settled down. Off late they don’t upload hundreds of photos as they used to some time back. They no longer host night parties nor club hop and according to my colleagues, the sponsors have finally tamed them and there’s no room for them to hover around. Kenyan socialites have decided to go by their sponsors’ rules and regulations so as to keep them lest they pull out.
