Kenya’s top Arsenal fan and sports show host Carol Radull on Friday made history as the first Kenyan media personality to interview football legend Robert Pires who is visiting Kenya. The bubbly #TheScoreKE presenter said that it was an honor interviewing him.
As a young player, Pires chose Arsenal over Juventus because it is “one of the best teams in UK”. He also accepted a call from Arsene Wenger since he is French just like him. Pires had to think about the proposition and after a talk with his family, he finally said yes. Talking about how he finds Wenger as a person, he described him as “a gentleman. He is cool with players.” He termed him as approachable. All the players need to do is book a meeting with him and get to share their problems.

During the interview, one Gunner Robert Kariuki hilariously asked Pires to pass a message to Wenger; to buy a stronger defender for Arsenal come January.
The former Villareal player laughed and then said, “I don’t think I need to tell Wenger because I think he needs and want to buy players. This position, especially midfield is very important..because you need a balance.” The football star who is in Kenya for the Barclays Shift To Better campaign also stressed that the Arsenal manager loves Africa.
