I have always found the irony of such matters delectable. Gospel artists are meant to be the light of the world, given that they espouse a religion that asks its faithful to live proper, pious lives yet they prove that human nature is indeed a tough cookie to crumble.
Personally, these matters do little in the way of raising my eyebrows, but when it comes to some, it still seems to be a shocker. I came to accept a long time ago that most of the gospel lot are using it as a vehicle to service a need other than ministry.

One such individual who hasn’t been touched by the fingers of jade is Chito Ndlovu. The radio presenter was furious about this ilk of Christians who are besmirching his faith to people like me – the homies that love to sit and judge by the poolside.
This is what he had to say:

The Kenyan gospel industry though beautiful and growing by the minute it is filled with some filth, people masking themselves as gospel artists but you are wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Before revealing that plausible sources had informed him of how gospel artistes like to engage in some hanky-panky when their wives are not around.
“I have credible sources telling me of how some of you are cheating on your wives when you go out of town for gigs, and by credible I mean those girls you sleep with talk and they are singing like birds. Some have photos of you in bed with them text messages of you begging them not to tell people what you are doing…Yesterday one lady told me one credible gospel DJ begged her literally went down on his knees just begging her so that he could get her to bed and he is married to a wonderful Christian lady, what filth is this? The other day I went with some friends to a hotel to hang out and the lady there told how one famous gospel artist usually takes his clande there…..You are supposed to be the light of the world and the salt of the earth.
If you people in the gospel industry don’t take it seriously and begin to do what you are called to, you will lead to the distraction of your own ministries, stop trying to be Kenyan socialites and focus on your calling, stop preaching woiye gospel and preach the true gospel, stop fighting with one another, writing on Facebook how people want to kill you…You are not worth anyone’s bullets stop the side shows and focus on HIM…
Stop fighting over whose better we don’t care we want to hear the word stop chasing after the glory it’s not yours it’s Gods.”
