Cases of matatus causing accidents have been so rampant in the recent past. Barely three months after a 14 seater matatu rammed into a bakery shop along Moi Avenue near Railways bus stop, yet another matatu belonging to Lakenya Sacco has caused fatalities in a major accident.

The matatu is said to have knocked down a pedestrian at railways roundabout and the driver is alleged to have tried to speed off. He rammed into an AP bus which was ahead of it. The matatu was over speeding on Moi Avenue.
