The Secret Is Out! Tips To Reviving Your Thinning Hairline

In today’s series, I have a most interesting article that I got from BeautyClick that I propose we ought to discuss. It’s about things to consider before and after installing a weave in order to prevent it from shedding.

As you may know, synthetic weaves are produced using industrial sewing machines that are meant to generate bulk orders. The quality of the weft is not as good as what you get when it comes to virgin hair.

Now, virgin hair is produced using human operated machines which helps to enhance quality. High quality virgin hair of course does not and should not shed excessively.

How To Prevent Virgin Hair From Shedding

If you have hair that excessively sheds and leaves trails all over your house and wherever you go, it could be a sign of poor wefting.

There are a number of things you can do to prevent excessive shedding.

1. Get quality virgin hair
If the supplier claims that the virgin hair is of exceptional quality, make sure you check the weft to ensure it doesn’t shed excessively. Hair that has a poorly done weft will certainly shed.

2. Seal the weft with glue
What you can do to strengthen the weft is to seal it with fabric glue which helps lock the stitching in place. Some fabric glues will come out after a while so if you still notice shedding even after sealing it, you’ll need to apply the glue a fresh.

3. Avoid frequent combing
All hair sheds at some degree but if you want to prevent excessive shedding, try and avoid combing the weave several times a day.

Understand What Causes Excessive Weave Shedding?

Weaves shed for different reasons and sometimes it can be very complicated to try and figure out why if the hair bundles you just bought will shed.

Virgin hair can experience minimal shedding: again this is due to the fact that the hair may have been wefted by hand or using a standard sewing machine.
Double wefted hair is less likely to shed. But sometimes you may notice a few strands of the hair on your brash or whenever you run your fingers through the weave.
