Maina Kageni is not usually one to talk about financial institutions outside of advertising them. But there has been an issue that has rocked Kenya as a society that he decided to address. You see, unless you live underneath a rock at Bikini Bottom, you know that yet another bank has fallen – well, it’s under receivership in the least.And that would be Chase Bank. And it’s predicament has left the banking industry shaken and rocked to the core with many lives torn asunder. Analysts and pundits have been pointing accusing fingers at social media and primarily, Twitter.
The reasoning behind this is the fact that when news broke on twitter, there was a flood of Chase Bank customers running to various branches and ATMs to withdraw their money.
