People have laid bare their darkest secrets in a candid online discussion, with a series of shocking revelations they are vowing to take to their graves.
Reddit user Caseyia asked people to share their secrets and received more than 4,600 responses in just one day – detailing everything from family feuds to lies they’ve told their loved ones.

One woman confessed she had ‘faked a pregnancy and abortion’ to try and persuade an abusive partner to stay with her.
‘I’ve come so far from that and I’m embarrassed it ever happened,’ she explained, adding that she had been ‘head over heels’ and didn’t want him to leave.
Yoshieggshell revealed they had recently learned that their dad was homeless.’I thought he was living with his sister, but he let it spill over the phone today,’ they explained.
‘The rest of my family cut him out of their lives because of abuse and other things. He refuses to come live with me, and that f***ing sucks.’
Kevinera also had a revelation regarding his father. ‘My dad’s a National Socialist and he regularly goes to meetings,’ he explained.
‘I was raised on Germanic folklore and the idea that I’m superior to others because I’m of German decent. I have plenty of Jewish and Slavish friends and I just tell them my dad died when I was younger.’
Hinerv also had a heart-wrenching confession. ‘I was in bed last night crying because my best friend got married a week ago and I realized that I still love her,’ he wrote.
Fellow Redditors rushed to offer their advice, assuring him that they were better off as friends.
One user told how he blamed himself for his mother’s death. ‘One night I woke up with my mind in a twist,’ he wrote. ‘My mom was in the hospital at the time.
‘I had a crazy urge to call them and check on her, but I reasoned not to because I couldn’t think of an excuse so I fell back to sleep.
‘5am I get a call that they checked on her and she didn’t have a pulse, I just think there was something I could have done that destroys me to even think about it.’
Others responded with similar stories, with one telling how his father had died in the middle of the night. ‘Don’t let the guilt of something like that eat you up inside,’ another wrote.
