A former TV news anchor lost his top of the range machine when he was unable to pay the car instalments. The Range Rover was repossessed by the car dealer after the media personality couldn’t make the payments.

The owner of Subru Motors John Nderitu Malongo told a Kibera court yesterday how Louis Otieno couldn’t make payments for a Range Rover he had bought from him.
Nderitu further told the court that after Careen Chepchumba died, Otieno could not pay for a Sh5.9 million Range Rover he had wanted to buy.

He said he advised the former anchorman to trade in his Toyota Land Cruiser VX valued at Sh2.4 million, which he did. Otieno was to pay the balance in installments.
The car dealer said Otieno later paid Sh600,000 but struggled to clear what remained after that.
Nderitu said:
“We repossessed the Range Rover in 2012 and sold it to a new buyer in 2014.”
