Malimwengi jo! Things are elephant, I tell you. Explosive information has emerged from a Kibera court where a car dealer testified saying former TV anchor Louis Otieno, introduced the late Careen Chepchumba to him as his wife.
Witness Tells Court How Louis Otieno Would Sneak Into Careen’s House
Moto kuliko ile ya pasi, my braza. John Nderitu Malongo, owner of Subru Motors, said Louis revealed this to him in confidence.
“Otieno visited my car yard several times with Careen. He bought a VW Golf that he said was for his wife,” said Nderitu.
He said Otieno, whom he claimed to have known for 10 years, went to collect the car that cost him Sh1 million accompanied by his “wife Careen”.

According to The Star, the prosecution produced a receipt of the sale of the car, in Careen’s name. She used Otieno’s middle name, Armstrong, as her last name on the document.
Nderitu further told the court that he knew where the former anchor stayed in Kilimani since he had been there but never went up to his apartment as they met at the parking lot.
A family friend had told the court that Careen had been in a relationship with the former news anchor , but Louis denied this.

Paul Ng’ang’a told an inquest that the university student who was found murdered told him the relationship drained her emotionally and financially.
Meanwhile, a security guard at Careen’s apartment told the court on Tuesday that Otieno was a frequent visitor.
John Njoroge, a security guard also claimed the former anchorman slept over on many nights.
Njoroge said Careen had instructed him to let the ex-anchor into the house without any restrictions.
On July 15, a family friend told the court that Careen requested Sh800,000 in 2012 but never showed up to pick it.
Aggrey Keter told an inquest into the death of the university student that he had known her for a while since they were from the same area.
He said Careen called him and asked for the money which he offered to give her.
Two guards were also to testify on Thursday.
