Certainly got me thinking a lot lately. That we reportedly use only a small part of our possible mental and physical resources is obviously something that gives you a kick in the seat of the pants. Literally!
I recently watched the Paralympics and saw hundreds of athletes push themselves despite their physical disabilities. It made me feel like I haven’t been living life fully. Looking at the various events including swimming, athletics, field events with the participants breaking records left, right and centre (including our very own Kenyans) I began to think, why don’t we constantly and consciously fire on all cylinders?
Are we complacent? Is it the environment? Are we scared of what people will say? Will we lose our friends in the process?
Nothing happens for a reason and because of this, I suddenly got charged up. It’s true that when you’re inspired, others will pick it up and attempt to be on your wavelength. They will want to be inspired as well.
Reminds me of an exciting video I saw online for the Guinness #MadeOfFootball254 ad. The new Guinness Africa ad celebrates the continent’s love of football. I saw a passionate young man running hard and he was on his crutches …and by running hard, I mean running hard. Check out below and see what I mean.
Why are we #MadeOfFootball? …because we are passion, we are belief, we have fire in our hearts, we are Made Of Black. Shot by Jake Nava, this new ad features real people with real passion from Africa was mostly shot in Nairobi.
Here’s something even more interesting about the ad: If you can watch it and spot a location in Nairobi, take a screenshot, post your screenshot with the hashtag #MadeOfFootball, you will win exciting merchandise!
..so, have you seen the ad? Watch it below and find the locations, take a screenshot, post your screenshot and be a winner.
People who are Made of Football are people who are Made of More.
