KIMEUMANA! Mike Sonko Is In Trouble For Calling Himself The ‘Acting President Of The Republic Of Kenya’

Senator Mike Sonko’s utterances of calling himself the “acting president” of Kenya has caused a lot of discomfort with the higher ups. This is not a similar case to when gospel singer Bahati “unseated” President Uhuru Kenyatta for minutes. Sonko’s utterances have caused great concern to the point where the public prosecutor is asking questions.

Incase you missed it, yesterday Sonko was speaking at the funeral of Dolamu Oduwole, husband to Machakos governor Wavinya Ndeti. He died after his blood pressure shot up

“RAIS UHURU IS IN TOGO, DP WILLIAM RUTO AKO FRANCE I AM NUMBER THREE IN
COMMAND POLITICALLY AND SOCIALLY. I AM NOW THE ACTING PRESIDENT OF THE
REPUBLIC OF KENYA. ALL THESE POLICE OFFICERS AND VEHICLES YOU SEE ARE HERE BECAUSE AM NOW THE ACTING PRESIDENT,” Sonko said.

After that unnecessary fiasco, the director of public prosecution, Keriako Tobiko wants an investigation done on the Friday incident so that he can take “appropriate action”.

In a letter direct to inspector general of police, he writes, “My attention has been drawn to a video clip aired by various TV stations and widely shared on social media platforms, in which Hon. Senator Sonko is captured in disruptive conduct and uttering words to the effect that he is “the acting President of the Republic of Kenya.”

He continued,

“Pursuant to article 157 (4) of the constitutin, i direct that you:- conduct urgent investigations into the said conduct and utterances. Have hon. senator sonko interogated in respect of the said conduct and utterances and urgently forward the file to this office for appropriate action.”

Woi, kimeumana. t is not clear if Sonko will be charged with an offence. Lets wait and see.
