Yesterday 13th October marked exactly 10years since “Amka Ukatike” hit singer Abdulkarim Mohammed popularly known as Czars vanished without a trace. The young fast-rising Kenyan musician was at the peak of his career when he disappeared.
Czars was set to sit his Form Four examination at the Kilindini Secondary School before his disappearance which at the time sparked rumors that he had ran away to avoid doing exams and some even speculated that he had been kidnapped or was somewhere in Nairobi’s Eastleigh area living with a cougar.
Amka Ukatike! “Prodigal Son” C-zars IS BACK
His father has tried to search for him everywhere in the country but his efforts to find him bore no fruit. It has become a nightmare to the talented singer’s father. Czars who was once a role model to his teenage friends and age mates left many green with envy when he won several awards among them Chaguo la Teeniez and Fanta Pure Fresh Oxygen Talent Search. But the question is, where is Czars? Is he still alive?
Well, recently, we stumbled upon an Instagram post which purported the Czars was indeed alive and was dropping a new hit dubbed Tangu early this month
“YESS,AM BACK,CZARS IS BACK
NEW MUSIC VIDEO DROPPING THIS SEPTEMBER #TANGU
MARK THE DATES
AFTER A LONG TIME PASSING THROUGH ALOT OF INTIMIDATION REJECTION , DESPERATION
AM DROPPING IT …
#CZARSISBACK
#TANGU
#NEWVIDEO”
Read the post on Instagram under Czars’ name. After sometime the account was renamed, and the post pulled down a clear indication that someone was using the Amka Ukatike‘s hitmake’s name just for mileage. But why would one do that? Why punish the family?
Czars’ father who still believes that his son is still alive and will be back soon, has finally called upon the president of the Republic of Kenya President Uhuru to help him find his lost son.
“The situation concerning my son’s disappearance has not changed yet. So maybe the president would help me find him as it has been ten years since he disappeared and I have not heard any word from authorities .”
The hopeful man said in a recent interview with edaily.
