Man is to err and we all slip up. Some of us worse than the average. I happened to slipped up worse than the average and I hope you won’t find yourself in my shoes. If you do, well then, you might want to hear my story and how Esoko sorted me out.
It was a quiet Thursday afternoon and I was ready to meet Stacy. This fine girl who loves me but doesn’t know it yet because we’re still in an “infatuationship”. The kind of thing everyone wants with a fine girl in Nairobi.
We were to meet up in town at exactly 4PM at KENCOM bus stop stage then head out to get late lunch. I was there at 3.45PM waiting like a gentleman while baking in the warm Nairobi sun. Suddenly, there was this massive rush of human traffic …more like a stampede – the one that surely catches you off-guard like a deer facing the headlights of an oncoming car speeding in the night.
Hawkers VS kanjo. Damnit! I knew I should have gone to the cyber cafe. No sooner had I turned to get out off the way than some three guys bumped in to me and snatched my precious phone and crossed the road. All I could think about was Stacy and the infatuation that I had for her.
Well then, now I had a reason to go to the cyber down the street. I knew I wasn’t going to meet Stacy because we didn’t say exactly where we were to meet at Kencom and I didn’t want her to see me in my sorry state. I cancelled my date without telling her!
At the cyber, I logged on to http://ift.tt/2cM4C9P and decided to get myself and Stacy a phone that wouldn’t dent my wallet so much. I bought the Kabambe Classy and paid using my visa card then told them to deliver to my house.
Fast forward to Monday afternoon …the phones are delivered to my house and I didn’t open the boxes deliberately. Dressed up and went to Stacy’s house with the script in my mind that I had rehearsed all weekend. When I got to her house, I knocked at her door and she came out hands akimbo minus infatuation on her face.
“So babe, I was robbed of my phone on Thursday and since we shouldn’t ever be out of touch, I got us a phone each on Electronic Soko. Now, all I want you to do is open up the boxes and save your number on the first one so that I can always have it on speed dial. Besides that, I have missed you so much!”
I’m not at liberty to explain to you what happened after she hugged and kissed me at the door but she later confessed that she had dumped me and didn’t want to talk to me again.
Well thanks to Esoko, I got my girl back!
